Heart Nurse  Mrs Anne Taylor

The surgery will forward routine reminders for patients who need to be reviewed by the Heart Nurse.  The sessions are run by Mrs Anne Taylor (Specialist Cardiac Nurse) and includes a lifestyle assessment, blood pressure and cholesterol checks.  Appointments last approximately 30 minutes with follow-up arranged for any treatment issues with a Nurse or a Doctor as required.  Appointments may be booked by contacting the surgery on 01608 642742 and ask for an appointment on the heart clinic. 

If it is necessary for you to have a blood test prior to your appointment you will be informed.  If a blood test is required, book a blood test as early as possible in the morning, have nothing to eat or drink from midnight the night before.  A glass of water or black tea / coffee is OK in lieu of breakfast.  You can eat as soon as the test has been taken.
